Siliolbé, like so many magical things, arose at the crossroads of serendipity and intention. When founder Martin Wolfaardt was sharing his blossoming vision for a new project, a four-year-old girl named Serina overheard his conceptual ideas. She smirked, looked him up and down, and opined: "Silly old bear!"
In that "Tao of Pooh" spirit, Siliobé immediately came to life. The music is a collision of jazz and world music influences with an ambient, groove-oriented EDM pulse. Defined by a healthy side order of jazz and a whole-hearted love of improvisation, the quartet creates a visceral dance experience that bridges the gap between structured composition and agile chaos.
