Dear Friends and Family,
This story book has been lovingly co-created by Philipp and Alessandra Love. Sage Love, of course, was our muse and the inspiration for this story about the beauty, magic, mystery, chaos and perfection of falling in love with our child. We are the Love Family and we aspire to just BE Love, GIVE Love and SHARE Love in every moment.
A Magical Idea Inspired by Pizza – A prelude by Alessandra:
There’s a humorous story that goes along with how this book got going and I would like to share it. A month or so ago I was treated to the most delicious VEGAN GLUTEN FREE PIZZA by my dearest mother at a lovely restaurant. Quite pricey and certainly not an indulgence I encounter often. Philipp was having a day for himself and so I decided my treat would be a whole pizza to myself. It truly was guiltlessly delicious and I was careful to spare a few slices for later. When I got home I innocently left my pizza on the counter...
Later that night Phil and I got into a silly argument and mid-rebuttal I started wondering about my pizza. “Phil, wheres my pizza?” He looked at me with complete panic and said, “What do you mean? I thought you brought it home for me, I ate it.” There was a moment of complete silence as a cold foreboding chill pierced the air. A wild and radically unnecessary drama pursued as a sleep deprived mama angrily mourned the loss of something so simple...and yet so precious.
Anyway long story short Phil, in his guilt, decided to make the best of it and invited me out for another pizza and called it a DATE. Wow, we truly managed to take something ugly and make it incredibly beautiful. As we sat at the restaurant next to the sea and reflected on our life as a little family and our love for our child I had an idea. “Let’s write and illustrate a children’s story! And let’s not take forever, let’s do a page a day after Sage goes to bed for the next few weeks and print it when its done!”
We created this book in the early hours of the morning and the late hours of the evening, in the chaos and in the silence, with lots of JOY and laughter. Its creation has been completely raw and authentic and we are SO INCREDIBLY PROUD to share it with the world.
